The Ecology Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable foundation that is dedicated to finding practical solutions to the environmental problems facing the world by making grants to further the development of worthwhile, energy efficient products.

Featured Project: IFCE

The Internal Flywheel Combustion Engine / Power Generator has numerous advantages over conventional engines. The IFCE has only one main moving part, uses no lubricating oil, uses an estimated 70% less fuel and can run on a variety of fuels, including hydrogen.

On top of that, it has power saving options such as it's ability to operate on 1, 2 or 4 strokes and automatically shutting down when descending hills. It's machinging process is very simple compared to conventional piston engines or turbines and is easily constructed from ceramics for indefintite wear. The engine can also be scaled to any size (from a lawnmower to a full size power generator). The IFCE is a great alternative to a conventional engine due to its low cost, low maintenance and scalability.

The Ecology Foundation couples cash grants with appropriate mentors and business contacts so that inventions become more than just great ideas. The Foundation provides funding and business experience to help inventors move beyond the idea stage. In this way, we feel that donated funds will be best used and mankind will ultimately see the greatest benefit.
